Wow. We brought in some six hundred year old manuscript pages to be preserved and framed. It was an AMAZING job. They worked to make sure every detail was perfect. We were included every step of the way and you could tell they had as much passion for the project as we did. We couldn’t be happier.

"Our experience at Master Framers was outstanding. An artist friend of ours has all his work framed here, so when we purchased a beautiful print last year at the MIA Print Fair, we knew where to take it.  We wanted to frame the print as the artist intended. This required extra communication with the artist's gallery - Jeni from Master Framers took on this task with no questions asked. Jeni was very helpful/patient throughout the process, and her attention to detail was excellent. We are thrilled with the final piece: the frame accentuates the art in the best possible way."

"My husband and I moved from California just a few years ago and happily stumbled upon Master Framers in Lowertown St Paul. We took in a couple pieces to try them out and a wonderful friendship was formed. The quality of work, the artistic knowledge and the artist’s eye all come into play when selecting the materials for each piece. We learned so much about the art of framing and will never consider another source for the care and framing of our art. If you have any kind of work to be framed, you must visit them... you will not be disappointed."

"Our experience with Master Framers goes back several years when a friend, an art professor, was visiting us and suggested that we have an old oil painting cleaned and reframed.  She referred us to Master Framers.  We discussed the cleaning process with them and they helped us decide on a new frame.  When we  picked the painting up we were astonished at the change.  The colors were stunning and the frame was perfect.  Most recently we took an old (1891) dry point copper etching that was given to us as a wedding present by my fathers aunt 50 years ago.  We felt it needed to be cleaned, rematted and reframed, and we didn't know anything about the artist or the print.  Master Framers couldn't clean the print (it's actually in very good condition) because any cleaning process would ruin it because of the inks and paper used to make it.  We decided, after consulting with Jeni Zewiske at Master Framers, to keep the original frame as it was of high quality and only needed to be cleaned and touched up.  So, we used new acid free matting, museum quality glass, and the restored frame.  It turned out great.  We also learned a lot about the artists history, his process, and the value of the print.  It was an "Antiques Road Show" moment; a high quality print by a known artist, but worth more to us than the market.

Soon we will be taking several antique award winning miniature paintings to Master Framers.  Do they need cleaning?  How can we best preserve them?  How should they be shown?  Why would we take them to Master Framers?  Because experience drives us there.  They know what they are doing.  They collaborate with us and provide us with insights we know little about.  They have contacts and resources to provide the best outcome to the assignment.  Wonderful people to deal with and they have a fascinating facility that invites you to explore and wonder what is this and what is that? Much like going to a small museum."

Like most people, we don’t have frequent need for professional framing services, so our relationship with Master Framers has been one that has been years in the making.  Whether our need has been for framing our daughter’s Black Belt certificate, an old poster found at a flea market, or an original work of art that needs some TLC, Master Framers has always treated us with a level of professionalism and courtesy that has made us repeat customers.  They have worked with us on budgets, advised us on aesthetic options, and - in every case - their skilled crafts people have expertly executed our vision. The staff at Master Framers are smart, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work – they love what they do, and they’re good at it! These are all qualities that keep us coming back.

I had them do framing of a 143 year old print I found on eBay. Their expert advice and suggestions as to framing options were so helpful as I was unsure of what I wanted. They truly did an beautiful job and I actually got somewhat emotional upon seeing it. I could not have been more pleased. The piece could be displayed in a fine museum, it looks that good! Highly recommend Master Framers.

Master Framers has been my place to go to have framing and restorations done. In my opinion, the craftsmanship that has been demonstrated in my pieces definitely deserve a five star rating. The staff is eager to do the best and most creative job to suit the consumers needs.
